More than what's in the glass.

It’s about the table, the people around it, and the moments that come from sharing something good. SØŪTH began in 2021, inspired by Luca and Gaetano’s Southern Italian roots and their love for wines that bring people together.

It reflects the way they grew up, where wine was never overly formal, but something to be opened, passed around and enjoyed together.

Introducing

The boys behind SØŪTH

Luca and Gaetano both found their way into hospitality early, starting in restaurants as teenagers and building their experience across Italy and beyond. From the Amalfi Coast to London, New York and San Francisco, they worked alongside leading chefs, restaurants and sommeliers, refining their approach along the way.

What stayed constant was their perspective on wine. It was never about overthinking it. It was about how it brings people together.

SØŪTH is built on that idea. Thoughtful, approachable wines, made to be shared.

THE REGION

MCLAREN VALE

McLaren Vale gives these Italian varieties the right conditions to feel at home.

Warm days, cooling sea breezes and a long growing season help build flavour while keeping balance in the glass. It’s a region known for its relaxed approach to wine, where quality matters but enjoyment comes first.

For SOUTH, it’s the perfect place to grow Nero D’Avola, Primitivo, Fiano and Rosé in a way that feels both true to their origins and shaped by where they are now.

DESIGNED WITH HEART

THE STORY BEHIND THE BRAND

SØŪTH began with a simple idea, to share the wines inspired by Luca and Gaetano’s homeland with the place they now call home.

The logo carries that story. A bunch of grapes marked by four arrows pointing south, a quiet nod to Luca and Gaetano and their wives, who are all part of the journey.

Even the name holds meaning. The Ø reflects the idea of a peninsula or island, much like Italy and Australia. The Ü captures the sound of “SÜD”, meaning south in southern Italian dialect. A connection between where it started and where it is now.
